CBSE – Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) “Saksham’ National Level Competition 2019

To sensitize young student about conservation of petroleum products and environment protection PCRA along with CBSE is holding “Saksham National competition 2019” – Painting, Essay Writing and Quiz.

The details are as follows

Essay Competition

  • Eligibility – CBSE Students of classes VII to X.
  • Topic – Oil Conservation towards healthy and better environment.
  • Any number of students can participate in the school level round.
  • Essay can be written in languages like Hindi, English, Telugu and Sanskrit.
  • Maximum words – 700
  • Time limit – 1 Hour
  • Date of school level round – 16 August 2019.
  • School will evaluate the entries and the best two entries in each language will be uploaded on the CBSE portal.
  • Plagiarism will lead to cancellation of entry.

Painting Competition

  • Eligibility – CBSE Students under two categories
    a. Junior – Classes V to VII b. Senior – Classes VIII to X
  • Topic – Oil Conservation towards healthy and better environment.
  • Any number of students can participate in the school level round.
  • Use only A3 size art sheet. The work may be executed using pencils, pencil colours, crayons, water colours etc.
  • The students must carry the required paper/sheet and stationery on the day of the exam and complete it in the school.
  • Time limit – 2 Hours
  • Date of school level round – 20 August 2019

Quiz Competition

  • Eligibility – CBSE Students of classes VII to X.
  • Topic – fuel conservation, environment, general studies and general knowledge.
  • This is an online quiz, which the student will take online in the school if he/she qualifies the first round (preliminary round). The preliminary round will be a written round containing 30 questions of MCQ type from the topics mentioned below.
  • The questions shall pertain to fuel conservation, environment, general studies and general knowledge. Top scorers will represent KENNEDY HIGH the global school in the next levels.
  • The school will register the names of top scorers on the portal and all the students will participate as individuals in the first round of CBSE. The software will select the two best scoring participants, who will form the school team. This team will then participate in the second round or District level round, State level round (if winners) and then zonal rounds at Delhi (final round)
  • The preliminary round of quiz will be conducted on 16 August 2019.
